Contracts Coordinator

STATUS: Regular, Full-time, Non-Exempt Staff Position
WORK WEEK: Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
SUPERVISOR: Assistant General Manager
SALARY RANGE: Grade 18 ($4,335 to $6,184 per month)

POSITION OBJECTIVE: Coordinate the preparation of contracts and agreements with District Departments for Public Works, Small Works, Professional Services, Purchased Services, Materials and Equipment contracts to ensure compliance with Federal, State and Local statuary requirements and District policies and procedures in a manner that facilitates accomplishment of the District’s Strategic Plan.

Candidates’ abilities and qualifications will be evaluated using examinations for typing/keyboarding and shorthand and or speedwriting; a cognitive test; supplemental questionnaire; work history; employment references and recommendations; education, certifications and training courses completed; and an interview to determine: experience composing and preparing correspondence, reports, newsletters, and other business documents; experience recording and transcribing information from meetings; higher-level administrative office experience; experience working with employees and the public; computer skills; communications skills; ability to make decisions; and other skills and abilities needed to fulfill the requirements of this position.

Based upon these evaluations, District Management will make the selection.
