Community Solar Project – Not Enough Customer Participation

Clallam County PUD’s proposed Community Solar Project did not receive the necessary customer participation to move forward with construction. Aug 15 Commission Meeting is in Forks

Clallam County PUD Commissioners will hold their August 15, 2016, regular commission meeting in Forks. The meeting will start at 1:30pm and will be held at the Department of Natural Resources Building, located at 411 Tillicum Lane in Forks. Refunding of Bonds Saves the PUD Over $800,000

The Clallam County PUD was recently able to secure a cash flow savings of $808,520 over the next twelve years through the refunding of 2008 Electric Revenue Bonds. Update 5 At 9:28pm power was restored to all customers in Forks.  The cause of the secondary outage was a downed line. Final Update: July 3 Outage

Final Update Power was restored to all customers at 10:26pm. The original cause of the outage remains unknown, but the nature of the repairs suggest the transmission line was contacted by a tree or tree limb.  There were high winds in the area.
