Low-Income Energy Assistance Program

Cindy Kimble

Our goal is to make energy assistance accessible and energy bills manageable. The PUD recently welcomed Cindy Kimble, Customer & Community Outreach Programs Coordinator to manage our new in-house program. If you qualify, you will receive a monthly bill discount depending on how much of your monthly income is spent on energy costs.

This is a self-attest program, meaning that no documentation is required at the time of application. A small random selection of applications will be required to complete a post-enrollment verification within 90 days. Applicants also have the option to upload documentation at the time of application. If documentation is sufficient, applicants can be omitted from the post-enrollment verification process.

This is a monthly bill discount program. You will see the discount marked clearly on your bill each month. Your enrollment lasts for one year. We will contact you at your preferred contact method one month prior to your enrollment ending to remind you to re-apply. Please notify the PUD with any changes in household sizes or income.

Applicants have a choice to provide documentation when they apply. If you don’t, you may be selected for post enrollment verification. The documents we ask for are the same regardless of the application route you choose.
