Starting the week of April 6, Clallam County PUD will begin work to upgrade approximately 8,000 feet of three-phase conductor along Sequim-Dungeness Way.
This project will replace existing 4/0 ACSR conductor with 556 AAC and create a new electrical connection between the Dungeness Substation (Line-C) and Sunland Substation (Line-C). This connection will establish a loop feed, improving system reliability and providing greater redundancy for customers in the area.
PUD crews will begin work at the Taylor Boulevard intersection and proceed north.
During construction, Sequim-Dungeness Way will be reduced to one lane in active work zones. Drivers should expect minor delays and are encouraged to use caution when traveling through the area.
The project is expected to take approximately three months to complete.
There will be a few brief power outages associated with this work. Affected customers will be notified in advance.
