PUD #1 of Clallam County (PUD) is ending drought response alerts for PUD water systems.
The previously issued drought response alerts for the Clallam Bay/Sekiu, Island View, Evergreen, Carlsborg and Fairview water systems are no longer in effect. PUD staff have completed a review of
streamflow, well level and precipitation data in accordance with the PUD Drought Response Plan. All typical sources of supply within these water systems are online and available.
Gales Addition, Mount Angeles and Monroe water systems rely on purchased water supplied by the City of Port Angeles. The City of Port Angeles has rescinded the previously issued Water Shortage Declaration. In accordance with the PUD Drought Response Plan, the drought response alert for the Gales
Addition, Mt. Angeles and Monroe water systems is also no longer in effect.
PUD staff would like to thank our water customers for their consideration and water conservation efforts during these drought response alerts. Additional drought response alerts are not anticipated in 2025 provided current precipitation and streamflow level trends continue.
