UPDATE: Power was restored to all residential customers as of 9:58am.
Many PUD customers experienced a power outage this morning as a result of a vehicle accident.
The outage started at approximately 7:12am when a vehicle hit a power pole in the Kitchen-Dick/Old Olympic Highway area.
10,377 customers from East Port Angeles to the Carlsborg area were affected.
Power was restored at approximately 8:11am to all but 63 customers. Those 63 customers may have an extended outage lasting most of the day. We are trying to get them up sooner though.
The PUD appreciates the patience and support of those affected.
