Weather related outages Sunday, Nov. 19

Monday, November 20 Final Update 8:21 a.m.  At 3:38 a.m. the West End crew headed home. Other crews responded to isolated outages in the County into early Monday morning. At the outage peak on Sunday, approximately 6500 customers were out. If you are still experiencing an outage, please call 360.452.9771 or 800.542.7859.

10:00 pm Hwy 112 towards Lyre River is restored and Joyce has been restored. South Shore Rd has been restored, and crews are clearing Longfellow and East Beach. BPA has found several trees on their line and estimate 2 hours until they can test the line. This will be the final update here until morning.

7:40 pm – BPA indicates it will be several hours for restoration of the West End yet. One of our PUD crews is headed to the last known Sequim outage. The crews in west Port Angeles had to pull back until  after 6 pm due to the danger of all the trees that were falling at the time. Another crew and tree trimmers are assisting WSDOT in the Joyce area. A crew is patrolling the Lake Sutherland area to determine a restoration time. Lastly, a crew out west is hoping to get most issues dealt with before power is restored.

2:51 – BPA is sending crew to patrol their transmission lines looking for the issue. It will take a couple hours just for their crews to arrive so power may be out to the West End for several hours. Our PUD crews will be restoring downed lines in the Sekiu/Clallam Bay area in the meantime. Power is out in East Beach area which is related to the West End outages. There are also PUD line outages in the Lairds Corner, Diamond Point, and other isolated outages still.

2:30 p.m. – A BPA transmission line is open and power is out to the West End. new outages are also occurring in the Lairds area.

1:43 p.m. – Outages are occurring in the Diamond Point area and Clallam Bay/Sekiu and isolated other outages. Crews are responding. Updates will be posted as more information is known.
